Two University of St. La Salle students were chosen in two separate national young leader searches. They were Premed Society President Manuel Eduardo "Mark" de La Paz and
former The Spectrum Editor-in-Chief Manuel Jeffrey "Jepoi" Ordaniel Sistoso.

The following USLS Guidance counselors and faculty took their oath as guidance counselors under the RA 9258 (Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004) in Manila Hotel last May 19,2008.

The University of St. La Salle Graduate School in partnership with the Department of Education, Division of Iloilo City funded by Aurelio Montinola Foundation conducted a 4 day seminar for public school English teachers on the Teaching of English as Second Language last May 13-16,2008.

The USLS Graduate School in participation with CIDA-Pearl 2 conducted the Strategic Social Entrepreneurship (SSE) Course last April 14 to 18, 2008 with participants coming from non-government and non-profit organization.
